P&O Ferries offer ferry services to France, Belgium and Holland. When you arrive at your destination, you are able to head out to some of the most beautiful and exciting places in Europe. Getting around is easy, as you are able to take your car with you. Take a look at some of the destinations you have access to with P&O Ferries

Getting There

You can get to Paris in 3 hours by driving from Calais. The journey I took to Calais was quick and easy by P&O Ferry from Portsmouth, and then the A26, then the A1 to Paris.

I found finding a place to stay very simple due to the massive amount of choice. Whether you are looking for plush luxury accommodation or a cheap place to stay, you will be able to find lots of choice. For those of you looking for a top of the range grand place (perfect for a romantic trip) then the centre of the city features some top quality hotels. If you want a hostel or a cheap B&B then throughout the city you should be able to find somewhere easily enough.

Food and drink

French cuisine is world famous, and there’s no better place to try it than Paris! I had many top notch meals; while some were pricey there were also plenty of budget bites to enjoy. From bistros and restaurants to bars and patisseries, the city is full of delicious dishes. Eating well is a necessity in Paris, you can’t escape the delicacies! Food on the P&O Ferry during your crossing is plentiful, with a large food court, cafes and restaurants.

Sights and Activities in Paris

Where to begin? Once I got off the P&O Ferry and made the journey into Paris, there was a wealth of sights and sounds that met me. There are the classic tourist attractions such as the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe, the famous Notre-Dame cathedral and the Louvre gallery. There’s the river Seine, Saint Pierre de Montmartre, Oscar Wilde’s grave in Père-Lachaise Cemetery and of course Disneyland Paris. Paris is a sightseer’s heaven!
