Back in Dover

The mist was still heavy in the air, and it was quite creepy seeing the cliffs emerge as we got closer to land. My day trip to Calais was coming to an end and, while I was happy to see Dover approach in the distance, I started to regret not having more time to spend on the ferries and in Calais.

My day had been a great experience, and I was truly impressed with the service provided by P&O Ferries. The facilities on offer were shockingly good, they were very clean and well maintained, and the staff were helpful and friendly. All in all, I would recommend using them to cross the channel, and no doubt the other services they provide from Hull and Portsmouth are equally as good.

The ferry slowly pulled into the port of Dover and I disembarked to get into the waiting shuttle bus that dropped me back to the Travel Centre. The bus back to Dover Priory was waiting for us so we climbed onboard and headed to the station to take the train home. And that is where my P&O Ferries adventure ended.
